Often called the 'brains' of The Great Palaces Of Europe, Jason dropped out of Harvard to study trees and rocks in the local woods out back of the Wendy's where he slept most nights. It was here, in the long walks he took whilst evading the police, that Jason first came up with the idea of The Great Palaces Of Europe. He wanted to create a musical group like no other. He set out to learn how to play a musical instrument and when that didn't work out he decided to let others play the instruments while he came up with musical ideas and wardrobe concepts. Eventually, while in prison, he learned how to play guitar. When not performing with the band one of Jason's favourite hobbies is constructing cobblestone streets which began as a probation condition but quickly evolved into a passion of his.
Milena, who really needs no introduction, learned to play bass as a baby in her native Japan. Her amazing skills were first noticed at a daycare centre where she would often lull the staff to sleep with her beautiful, long performances on a bass that was given to her by her grandfather Arata Hokito before he mysteriously disappeared. The bass was the first instrument she learned to play before she became skilled at so many more. She quickly became known across the nation as the most talented two year old alive and now she is looked at, in Japan at least, as the most talented person in the history of the entire world. She is often called the 'brains' behind The Great Palaces Of Europe although she likes to say that she is the 'heart' and sometimes the 'spinal cord' but she has even been known to refer to herself as the 'Islets Of Langerhans' of the group because of her propensity to secrete hormones into the bloodstream of the band, especially during live performances.
Oboto first learned welding at the Hampton School Of Applied Trades. He found that he loved the demanding profession and quickly rose through the ranks of the local Welder's Union to become the shop steward at his local shipyard. An unfortunate injury took him away from the job he loved although Worker's Compensation investigators said that he wasn't injured at all and was simply trying to scam them out of money. Oboto denied this and launched a series of appeals that are still tied up in court to this day. Many people say he is the 'brains' of The Great Palaces Of Europe.
Often compared to a popcorn machine, Cablecar joined the band after he and Jason shared a cell at the popular British prison, Wormwood Scrubs. The story goes that Cablecar joined just to get Jason to shut up and quit asking him but, in reality, it was because he thought he might be able to get free meals whenever they did gigs. With his amazing percussion and drumming skills Cablecar has often been referred to as the 'heart and soul' of The Great Palaces Of Europe although he is quick to lay claim to being the 'brains' of the band.
Vanessa left the band before it was formed. There are no known photographs of Vanessa nor any public records of any kind. No one claims to ever have even met her. In fact it seems like she never actually existed at all. She has often been called the 'brains' of the group.
