Fans know the story. A welding conference was set up at a sleazy Paris club called The Lizard Lounge and the event was going to be recorded. The conference was cancelled but band member Oboto O'Connor decided to use the already paid for space and quickly arranged a recording of The Great Palaces Of Europe running through a set of their best material in front of a confused but delighted audience. The rest, as they say, is history. The album was a surprise hit that summer and put the band on the map. This re-issued vinyl edition is on special offer for fans lucky enough to get one of the 1000 copies pressed.
